I have burned the almonds if I add them too soon. Make sure the green beans are almost done when you add them.

Gather and prep ingredients.
Add olive oil, green beans, salt, pepper and garlic powder to a non-stick pan. Mix together with tongs. Saute over a medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes until green beans just start to brown.
Add sliced almonds to the pan. Continue to saute for another 2 minutes until almonds are browned.
